Volunteer With Us

Kings River Land Trust is powered by volunteers. From protecting farmland and wildlife habitat in California’s Central Valley to connecting people with the land, our work depends on community members who want to make a difference.

There are many ways to get involved — through committee service, event support, or by sharing professional expertise.

Committee Members

Our committees provide guidance and support for the organization. Most meetings are held by Zoom, making participation easy.

Board Members

After serving on a committee for six months, committee members who want to deepen their involvement may be invited to join the board of directors. The board meets every other month, the third Friday of that month.

Committees

Conservation Committee

Oversees conservation easement projects and land stewardship. Members often have experience in real estate, ecology, environmental law, land planning, or natural resources. Responsibilities include reviewing potential conservation properties and assisting with monitoring protected lands.

Finance Committee

Provides oversight of the organization’s finances. Members typically have experience in accounting, investments, or financial management. The committee reviews financial reports, assists with the annual budget, and supports sound fiscal policies.

Outreach and Fundraising Committee

Builds community awareness and financial support for the organization. Members help with outreach, donor engagement, sponsorships, marketing, and event planning.

The committee also organizes our events throughout the year, including the BBQ Bash. Volunteers can participate year-round or assist with specific events.
